PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Assistant Director of Finance is responsible for supervising the day-to-day finance and accounting functions of the property. In addition, this position performs income audit and must review income from all workplaces at the hotel to ensure accurate and safe income management. He/she conducts inspections on a regular basis to ensure compliance with Lotte Hotel's regulations. As well, he/she must carry out various projects as required by executives and other senior personnel while providing necessary support for the business operation in general; as well as other duties as assigned.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE: 3 or more years of work experience in a leadership finance and/or accounting role; experience should include the direct supervision of employees. Hospitality experience preferred.
Must possess the ability to analyze large volume of complex financial information from many sources and create reports, forecasts projections.
Must possess a good knowledge of regional accounting laws
Must have a general understanding of revenue and expense management. Must have an understanding of accounting operations including A/R, A/P, Income audit & cash handling controls
Must have an understanding of guest room and F&B operations
Must have an understanding of Lotte Hotel's financial policies and vision
Must possess basic computer skills
Must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to receive instructions and make reports with accuracy.
Must show basic computer proficiency such as with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
Must be knowledgeable about applicable laws regarding the operation of hotels and restaurants.
Excellent organizational skills.
Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.
Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work a flexible schedule: weekends, holidays, AM, PM, overnight and overtime when needed.
