As an Assistant Director of Finance with Interstate, you'll have ample opportunity to grow as a leader and make a meaningful impact.

As Assistant Director of Finance, you will

  • Use your expertise and insightfulness to ensure smooth accounting operations for the hotel, overseeing Payroll, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Income Journal, General Cashiering, taxes and internal controls.

  • Skillfully manage a talented staff of accounting professionals by creating an environment where motivated people want to join, learn, do their best, and advance. Lead an engaged team by modeling the way, by empowering, and coaching throughout the employment lifecycle.

  • Oversee accounting operations for accuracy and compliance. Prepare financial statements and analyze data for accuracy.

    Analyze and track vendor agreements and reports, to ensure agreement adherence. Assist with annual budget and tax prep, accurate forecast and financial reporting to support leadership, stakeholders and ownership, enabling confident timely action toward financial and business goal achievement.

  • Exercise vigilance to ensure clearly defined and effectively communicated financial and cash controls are employed throughout the property, minimizing liability and optimizing owner interests. Be alert to potential issues and proactive to questions, enabling teams to work efficiently and provide accurate, clear reporting.

  • Stand in for Director of Finance, when duty calls.

Fundamentals

A combination of education and experience equivalent to a BA or BS degree, preferably in accounting, with three to four years' experience in a related position is required. Success in this position requires experience in hotel department operations from Front Office to General Cashier and Credit Management, with additional working knowledge in office management, financial reporting and analysis and accounting practices.

The ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally in English with associates, guests, and ownership is essential. You will regularly use a computer, business equipment and software.

Patient care includes care to patients in the following age groups: neonatal (birth to 30 days), pediatric (30 days through 12 years), adolescent (13 through 18 years), adult (19 through 64 years) and geriatric (65 years and above). This position will directly support the Medical Director, Osteopathic Recognition for the faculty program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties: * Coordinate and supervise residents on the Family Practice Inpatient Service six months per year. * Administer the procedure documentation and information systems of the program annually. * Coordinate the selection the annual Charles W. Bair Award winner. * Serve as the editor of the House Staff Manual and the REEP Manual and keeps et updated on an annual basis. * Coordinate and implement the program's nutrition curriculum. * Conduct utilization review for the hospital's Utilization Review Program. * Serve as program's liaison with the cardiology teaching service * Attend and precept in the Family Health Service and/or Walter L. Aument Family Health Center. * Participate in the care of patients in the FHS as needed. * Maintain a limited "private" practice. * Attend the weekly Directors' and Faculty Development meetings. * Attend daily conferences, including morning report, noon conference and grand rounds, whenever possible. * Serve as Attending physician on the Family Practice Inpatient Service six months per year but no more than one weekend per month. * Conduct scholarly activity including lectures, publications and/or research. * Assist in the recruitment and interviewing of Family Practice Residency applicants. * Serve as faculty advisor, conduct formal evaluations, counsel residents, and coordinate research audits of assigned team of residents. * Perform other duties as may be designated from time to time by the Director of the Department of Family and Community Medicine. * Acquire the necessary CME credits and take the certification examination to maintain re-certification status by the ABFP every six years.
