As a member of our hospitality team, the primary role of an Assistant Director of Food and Beverage is to assist the Director of Food and Beverage in the F&B operations of the hotel by assisting in the implementation of a comprehensive business plan aligned with the company's strategic direction and revenue management strategies. This role will support all F&B outlets including restaurants, bars and lounges, room service, banquets, and catering, where applicable by troubleshooting challenges, generating revenue, complying with standards, and managing inventory. This role plays a crucial part in fostering a positive and productive work environment, providing guidance and support to the F&B staff, and actively engaging with guests to seek opportunities for enhancement.

  • Demonstrates exemplary leadership by fostering effective communication and goal alignment throughout the food and beverage operation, driving exceptional results.

  • Proactively champions change, implementing brand initiatives, researching competition, and proposing innovative strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Strategically reviews business potential, encourages calculated risk-taking, and troubleshoots challenges to maximize revenue and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

  • Upholds stringent compliance with brand standards, food, beverage, and product specifications, ensuring a consistently high level of quality.

  • Collaborates closely with the Chef and managers to craft enticing promotions, creative menu items, and captivating presentations, elevating guest satisfaction.

  • Prioritizes rigorous food handling, sanitation standards, and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, Health Department, Alcoholic Beverage) to ensure safety and compliance.

  • Leads the successful execution of brand service initiatives, setting and maintaining high service standards to exceed guest expectations.

  • Demonstrates active guest interaction, obtaining valuable feedback, and promptly resolving any concerns to ensure superior guest satisfaction.

  • Utilizes guest feedback and data analysis to identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions to continuously enhance the guest experience.

  • Empowers associates to provide exceptional guest service, establishing clear guidelines and delivering ongoing training for continuous improvement.

  • Proactively coaches associates to elevate their service performance and ensures their continual development for personal and professional growth.

  • Actively participates in pre- and post-convention meetings, gaining insights into guest needs and obtaining valuable feedback to enhance operations.

  • Establishes and nurtures a comprehensive customer recognition program, maintaining an active guest database for personalized service delivery.

  • Takes a proactive role in hiring food & beverage leadership, ensuring effective orientation and cross-training to foster success.

  • Sets and communicates clear performance goals, conducts regular performance appraisals, and holds staff accountable for successful outcomes.

  • Cultivates a culture of open communication and collaboration, building strong relationships with team members and encouraging their growth and well-being.

  • Ensures fair and consistent administration of hotel policies and disciplinary procedures, fostering a positive work environment.

  • Celebrates team successes and actively participates in community service events to build teamwork and strengthen community relationships.

  • Develops and executes dynamic marketing plans, continuously monitors market trends, and implements strategies to increase market share.

  • Vigilantly monitors sales performance against the budget, conducts thorough financial analysis, and identifies areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.

  • Balances profit margins without compromising guest and associate satisfaction, maintaining a strong focus on financial efficiency.

  • Takes a proactive approach to technology implementation, ensuring optimal utilization for procurement and overall operations.
