Summary of Position: We're looking for a strategic innovator who has a passion for helping people move from where they are to where they want to be.
The Assistant Director of Career Labs will be the dynamic assistant of IWU National & Global's new Mobile Career Lab. Instead of waiting for someone to enroll before providing access to a great coach and resources for finding direction and building a career, we are flipping the script and offer accessible career coaching to anyone wishing to upskill or reskill. Often, access to those resources requires knowing where to look and how to navigate complicated systems. This position will support drop-in centers and mobile lab attendance at festivals, events, and community centers, meeting people where they are to initiate life-changing conversations and support.
We are building programs that help individuals identify learning pathway options that are at the intersection of their skills, interests, and talents and chart the education and credentialing they might need to achieve their goals (whether or not it involves an IWU option). Through that work, we'll provide follow-up and coaching as they pursue their next steps.
