The Assistant Director, Campus Recreation

  • Marketing and Outreach is responsible for developing and executing the overall strategy for marketing, engagement, and communications efforts at Missouri State University Campus Recreation. They oversee the design, coordination, development, production, and distribution of print, video, digital, and online advertising, and promotional materials to support Campus Recreation's programs, facilities, events, and services.

    In addition, they are responsible for effectively branding and communicating the Campus Recreation message to the Missouri State University community and other stakeholders; they recognize the importance and growing role of social media and digital engagement as the department works to communicate effectively to multiple audiences over many and to increase distribution channels.   • Marketing and Outreach is also thoroughly knowledgeable in the department's, and by extension, the university's, mission of providing an inclusive environment to its audience and actively ensures the engagement and communications products reflect its diverse audience. This position reports to the Associate Director of Campus recreation; provides oversight to the Marketing and Communications student staff who support the department's engagement and communications efforts; and works closely with other departmental colleagues, the marketing and communications staff, as well as staff within the Division of Student Affairs and departments across the university.

VIEW JOBS 8/31/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-11-29T00:00 <p>Job Summary</p><p>AECOM is seeking (2) two Safe Routes to School Outreach Coordinators to be based in the Western, MA area .</p><p>In this position, we will consider candidates from all over New England to include; New York, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. You will be a member of the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) outreach team, a program of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. Safe Routes to School works with schools, communities, students, and families to increase biking and walking among elementary and middle school students in the Commonwealth. We promote a collaborative, community-focused approach that fosters mutual partnerships between advocacy groups, law enforcement, education leaders, and public health departments that all work together to promote safer routes for elementary and middle school students to get to school.</p><p>As the Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with public elementary, middle, and high schools along with municipal and community stakeholders within an assigned geographic territory. You will assist partner schools and communities with the implementation of school-based travel options for elementary, middle school, and high school students. You will work in a fast-paced team environment following an outreach model with goals and performance metrics.</p><p>Performs a range of outreach, transportation, and marketing tasks aimed at enhancing opportunities for Massachusetts elementary, middle, and high school students to utilize healthy, active means of transportation, with a primary focus on walking and cycling to/from school. Develop, promote, and/or implement a range of school-based programs with the goal to teach and inspire children to start walking and bicycling more often to and from school, improving their physical health, safety, and community.</p><p>Maintain outreach responsibilities in an assigned territory through activities that include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li><p>Developing successful partnerships with existing and new partner schools and their stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Deepening existing SRTS partner relationships through frequent contact and follow-up meetings, tracking program implementation and student participation.</p></li><li><p>Promoting bicycling and walking for school trips. Educating parents, students, school personnel, and community representatives on the benefits of these modes, as opposed to parent drop-off/pick-up of students.</p></li><li><p>Providing customized assistance as schools implement Safe Routes education, encouragement, engagement, and evaluation activities.</p></li><li><p>Assisting with school- and community-based SRTS plans and guiding the implementation of walking and cycling programs.</p></li><li><p>Increasing participation rates and program awareness among parents, students and stakeholders at school partner locations.</p></li><li><p>Coordinating Safe Routes events at participating schools.</p></li><li><p>Generating measurable results from school and student participation in Safe Routes initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Reporting on outreach activities and maintaining a current, accurate database of school contacts and participation.</p></li><li><p>Attending networking and public meetings to raise program visibility.</p></li><li><p>Conducting presentations and writing detailed reports for schools, stakeholders, and community groups.</p></li><li><p>Exceeding goals and performance metrics</p></li></ul><p>At AECOM, we're delivering a better world.</p><p>We believe infrastructure creates opportunity for everyone.
