Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Campus Infrastructure/Chief Building Engineer leads the Campus HVAC/MEP team consisting of internal technicians and third-party vendors. This position would be responsible for QA/QC of service repairs/projects performed by HVAC contractors.
Assists the Director of Campus Infrastructure & Maintenance in the management and operation of assigned facilities in accordance with the standards and procedures of Georgia Gwinnett College.
This position is responsible for planning and coordinating the daily operations to provide a functional and comfortable environment for students, staff, Residence Life, and visitors at all associated GGC buildings, to protect and improve the value of the college¿s assets and to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
Functional areas include but are not limited to: Central Energy Plant Operations, HVAC Systems Maintenance and Repair, Building Automation Systems, Energy Utilization and Conservation, Project Development, and utility corridors.
Additionally, this position is expected to have a comprehensive and detailed knowledge of codes, laws and regulations pertaining to the operation of the physical campus and be able to implement and supervise activities regarding the reduction of liability to college.
