Mission College Prep seeks an Assistant Director of Athletics who will support the moral, athletic, academic, and social progress of each student in grades 9-12, working in partnership with the Athletic Director, MCP coaches, faculty, staff, and parents. This is a full-time position for which the candidate will also teach at MCP.

As Assistant AD, she/he is expected to: • Support in word and action, the Mission College Prep Mission, Vision, and Profile of the MCP Graduate. • Regard every student as an individual child of God. • Accept every student as 'becoming', not yet fully-formed. • Accept that every moment, every encounter, every trial, every success is part of God's will for our students' lives (and our own). • Utilize prayerful, honest dialogue and discernment in seeking to come to know His will for the child (and for ourselves). • Seek to know every student by name. • Work with the Principal in the implementation of the Mission Statement. • Work under the direction of the Director of Athletics on all aspects of the Athletics Programs at the school. • Assist the school community in the implementation of any WCEA report recommendations with respect to any Athletics goals. • Fulfill duties of an MCP employee as described in the MCP Employee Handbook and as determined by the Diocese of Monterey. • Perform other duties as assigned by the principal. Candidacy - The ideal candidate for the Assistant Director of Athletics position will: • Have considerable experience within a Catholic School high school setting and display a willingness to promote Catholic ideals and culture, through athletics. • Have extensive high school coaching and teaching experience as well as a developmental sensitivity and understanding of adolescence. • Have the ability and willingness to teach 1-3 subject classes at MCP to enable this to be a full-time position. • Possess experience and expertise with athletics facilities management, game/event management, and con
