The Assistant Director of Athletic Video assists with the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Video Department and oversees the training of the personnel staff and student staff regarding evaluation cutups.
60% Assists in the acquisition and editing of all football games and practices; Assists in all aspects of managing the nonlinear video network in the football office; Works closely with the staff to meet the needs of the coaches; Issues, tracks, and maintains the iPad inventory for the football team and coaches; Supervises staff of student videographers and schedules coverage of all assigned events; Develops a training program for student videographers; Maintains accurate and detailed records for inventory of the video dept.; Assists in managing IPTV network in the football building. Assist with implementation of the game day tablet technology used by the football staff.
20% Oversight and training of the personnel staff and student staff regarding evaluation cutups; Directs all aspects of recruiting video content. This would include ingest of High School games source content; Integration of video and management of content used in the XOS Scout app.
10% Assists with any special events including recruiting and game day events; Implements a technical support program for all other sports.
10% Acts as Director of Video in the absence of the Director; Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department diversity and inclusion initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the creation of an inclusive culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department; Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with two years experience in sports related analytical video production; Experience with XOS Thunder video editing system; Experience working with nonlinear video editing equipment.
Special or Physical Requirements:
Ability to work extended days and weekends. Travel is required.
