Position Summary:
Yeshiva University seeks an Assistant Director of Annual Giving, to provide support and day-to-day management of the annual giving program at Yeshiva University, including both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Reporting to the Senior Executive Director of Fundraising and Marketing Communications, this role supports the development and deployment of annual giving campaigns, events and special projects aimed at strengthening the pipeline of donors to YU. This includes executing strategies and managing implementation of multi-channel messaging for solicitation campaigns via email, print, social, web and telephone to grow and steward the support base for YU. In addition, this role works closely with deans, faculty and administration to cull and generate information and achieve desired shared outcomes.
Position Responsibilities:
Project manage the direct marketing program (print and digital), providing detailed and highly organized logistical and strategic support of mass communication campaigns; this includes coordinating campaign design and branding, proofing, budget oversight, and project timelines
Build and manage relationships with stakeholders within and external to the Institutional Advancement department, including YU's MarComm department, student leaders, deans and directors, and external vendors
Coordinate YU's Annual Giving Day, leading the student ambassadors and working with MarComm to support social media strategy
Key contributor to the campaign planning and design process, both in project management role and in creative process, offering ideas and recommendations for messaging
Create and manage online fundraising campaigns via giving platform
Make formal data requests to IA's Operations team and work with team to deliver data for tracking, evaluating and optimizing campaign performance and engagement metrics
Oversee phone call programs, including the recruitment, hiring, training and management of student callers, as well as staff calling lists and segmentation
Oversee Yeshiva University's Senior Class Gift campaign, with the goal of increasing meaningful engagement and participation
Cultivate and obtain student and university stories and photos for inspirational messaging
Work collaboratively with the alumni and development teams to help build programs to increase alumni giving
Assist other areas on campus with fundraising efforts as needed
Education & Experience
Skills & Competencies:
Understanding of higher-education fundraising and Annual Giving
Willingness to embrace new technologies (such as donor databases/CRM) and innovative organizational practices
Excellent time and project management skills
Attention to detail and ability to proof/review content
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with a diverse population within a variety of administrative levels
Aptitude to work both independently and in collaboration with a variety of individuals
Salary Range:
$85,000-$90,000
