Southwestern University, located in Georgetown has an immediate opening for Assistant Director of Annual Giving. The Assistant Director of Annual Giving is responsible in expanding fundraising efforts by implementing direct marketing strategies including the student solicitation program, direct mail, email, and texting programs. This is a full-time, fully benefited, exempt position who reports to the Director of Annual Giving.
Primary Duties:
Provides a leadership, direction, and strategy for the multi-channel program to generate gifts via phone, text, email, and mail.
Recruits, hires, train, motivate, and monitors the progress of paid student engagement ambassadors.
Analyze ROI on mailings and provide strategy on increasing efficiency.
Works on-site during all shifts to guide, mentor, and motivate the student engagement ambassadors.
Manage multi-channel workflows to enable students to effectively communicate with alumni, parents, and friends of the University.
Serve as primary contact with third-party vendors that may assist with calling and texting platforms.
Develop e-solicitations for mass and segmented audiences including alumni, parents, and friends.
Analyze campaign performance and complies results.
Manage the Annual Giving online presence including website and online giving platform.
Develop and maintain a calendar of outreach planned for these channels, content generation, and timely follow-up.
Work with Director of Annual Giving to develop, manage, and implement strategies for the direct mail program, including mass solicitation and targeted campaigns.
Collaborates with the Marketing Department to meet projects timelines and specifications.
Work with the Director of Annual Giving, Director of Stewardship, and staff to develop, expand, and refine all facets of the Annual Giving and Stewardship initiatives.
Coordinates with the divisional and University leadership to support overall philanthropic goals and priorities and supports student philanthropy efforts as needed.
Works with the Annual Giving team to coordinate the annual faculty/ staff campaign and supports the Southwestern's comprehensive campaign fundraising.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree.
1 year of development work experience in fundraising or equivalent.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with high levels of concentration and accuracy as well as meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to attend work consistently, and work evenings and weekends due to special events on and off campus.
Posses strong leadership skills, work ethic, and time management.
Strategic thinker coupled with a solid understanding of what constitutes well-written development documents essential.
Ability to perform as a catalyst, guide, and doer.
Ability to perform under pressure.
Ability to adhere to the University's core values, understand and commitment to a liberal arts education.
Posses knowledge, understanding, and acceptance of cultural differences and the diversity within the campus and community.
