Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Technolutions Slate CRM (Slate) and its various functions; serve as a Slate captain, a point person for questions and training related to the system.

  • Assist in developing implementation and integration strategies between Slate and other campus information systems.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of system-related processes for end-users throughout campus including workflows, portals, user permissions, et al.

  • Clean and import data from external sources; query and export data for distribution to various internal and external constituents.

  • Support university student recruitment efforts by maintaining data integrity through audit queries and other validation methods.

  • Provide data required to meet the needs of the Admission office via queries, reports, and portals to support enrollment goals and recruitment initiatives.

  • Assist in the creation and updates of applications and forms.

  • Stay current on trends and education in recruitment and enrollment web-based technology in order to develop new and improved data-related services.

  • Aid in the problem-solving of issues between Slate and other campus information systems.

  • Monitor business requirements, identify gaps in current functionality and suggest enhancements to policies and procedures.

  • Develop training material and facilitate training sessions for current and new staff in the proper use of Slate.

  • Participate in various on-campus events for the Admission office.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems used in higher education.

  • Working knowledge of SQL.

  • 1-3 years of Slate experience and knowledge of data logic and querying tools preferred.

  • Ability to translate data and business process needs between end users and programmers.

  • Some CSS and HTML knowledge.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems independently.

  • Demonstrated ability at planning and organizing multiple projects and tasks.

  • Ability to learn and apply institutional policies and procedures.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize work effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required, preferably in computer science, statistics, or other data-related field.

  • Three years of progressive admission and higher education experience preferred.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
