Assistant Director of Admissions Location – Main Campus | Hudson, NY Classification – Full-Time | Administrator Application Deadline – Until Filled The Opportunity Columbia-Greene Community College seeks a full-time Assistant Director of Admissions who will be responsible for a variety of activities associated with the development, implementation, maintenance, and support the centralized healthcare programs admissions process. Conduct all aspects of the College’s annual selective admissions process for all Healthcare Programs; Apply admission criteria to evaluate, rank, and select applicants each year; Ensure all available seats in the entering class are filled by maintaining a “wait list” of qualified students. Monitor student academic progress for program admission and retention. Advise prospective and current students on the admissions process for pre-health sciences programs, testing requirements, course registration, and new student orientation; Guide and counsel students to create individual educational plans to meet program pre-requisite requirements Supplies information regarding CLEP and challenge examinations to prospective students.

Familiarity with Student Entrance Exams Evaluate college academic credits earned elsewhere and assign transfer credit toward CGCC healthcare programs degree completion. As a member of the Admissions team, contribute at all levels as needed including handling special projects and event planning (i.e., Accepted Student days, Open Houses, Healthcare Events). Monitor applications, ensure application compliance and completion, and follow up with students on missing application materials as needed. In collaboration with the Admissions Team, create and maintain current CRM campaigns, blasts, events, and similar outreach activities.

Collaborate on data imports and exports from CRM to Banner and vice versa while ensuring data quality and integrity. Serve as a liaison with organizations and individuals involved in the admissions process. Assists with new student onboarding (preparing admissions packages and communicating with admitted students). Manages mail, e-mail, telephone, and walk-in inquiries regarding school admissions.

Assembles and maintains records for each applicant, following up on transcript requests and organizing all essential materials. Represents the school to current and prospective students, school counselors, faculties and administrators at recruitment events and information sessions, both virtual and in-person. Records and organizes data to assist in school, state, federal and regulatory reporting.

Coordinates with Student Success Office and faculty with students needing referrals to additional support services. Monitor student academic progress for program admission and retention. Maintain student files and confidentiality as required by admission, program, accreditation, and college guidelines and in accordance with federal, state, institutional, and program regulations.

Qualifications and experience: Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in an appropriate field such as higher education administration, school administration, student affairs, or business. Experience in providing operational support to programs. 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in higher education or a similar field.

Salary and Benefits Information Annual 12-month salary range $58 -65K, dependent on qualifications and experience.
