Assistant Directors play an integral role in leading our centers to success. As an Assistant Director, you will educate parents, teachers, and leaders on the value of early childhood education and make that value come to life for the children in your center.

When you join our team as an Assistant Center Director you will:

  • Assist the Center Director in leading teaching staff, supporting families, and achieving enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives

  • Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children

  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners

  • Serve in various roles throughout the center as needed including teacher, cook and/or driver

Skills, Education, and Experience

  • At least two years of early childhood education experience required, with an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices and the ability to ensure its use in the classroom

  • A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day

  • Excellent administrative, organizational, verbal, listening, and communication skills required

  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain

  • Must meet state specific guidelines for the role

  • Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Must be able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.

  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.

The role also collaborates closely with the V.P.-Corporate Controller and V.P.-Strategy & Development, including the management of overlapping processes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Supervise, mentor and support the Business Unit Controllers and Global Reporting Analyst. Compile relevant market data for volume projections. Finalize segment-level outputs in coordination with Segment V.P. Drive accountability and ensure timely submission of deliverables. * Communicate segment-level financial results and forecast outlook to corporate leadership. * Oversee business profitability analysis, operational performance analysis and related improvement initiatives. * Collaborate with Segment V.P. to develop and implement financial improvement plans, including future state financial targets. * Coordinate comprehensive review and prioritization of significant investments, including acquisitions and divestitures. * Support compliance with Modine Financial Standard Practices and accounting controls. Maintain accounting control objectives for the segment finance groups in coordination with the Corporate Controller. * Support the development and deployment of segment-level business strategies. These include, but are not limited to, operational footprint, vertical integration, market penetration and organizational restructuring. * Support strategic initiatives relevant to CIS which are led by the V.P. Strategy & Development. These may include M&A valuations and due diligence. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * 15 - 20 years of financial experience with 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. * Strong background in financial analysis, forecasting, and operational controlling. * Excellent leader with a passion for developing and mentoring others. * Effective critical and creative thinking skills. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and communicate effectively with various levels of the organization. * A process and continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive global standard practices. * Working knowledge of US GAAP. * Disciplined self-starter with proven ability to work independently, confidentially and with limited direction. * Strategic planning skills and the ability to drive strategies forward. * Strong system skills including knowledge of a fully integrated ERP system. Previous use and knowledge of SAP and/or Hyperion is a plus. * Strong PC skills including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
