The Assistant Director
The Kroc Centers aim to provide programs and activities for the community to help them grow in their artistic skills, ignite a passion for health and sports, walk with them in their spiritual journey and provide the means and space for seniors and families to come along and enjoy themselves in a friendly environment. Within the Central Territory there are 6 Kroc Centers: Chicago, Quincy, South Bend, Grand Rapids, Green Bay and Omaha.
KROC Centers (45%):
Act as an internal consultant by analyzing employment related issues within the Kroc Centers and recommending solutions.
Analyze Kroc Center employee turnover statistics; conduct employee opinion surveys; make recommendations and implement solutions to lower turnover and enhance employee morale.
Standardize Kroc HR processes, standard operating procedures, organizational charts and employee reward programs; adapt training programs for Kroc Center specific needs.
Ensure that Kroc Centers are in compliance with territorial and divisional policies and procedures and with any relevant federal, state or local legislation. Review materials for and participate in onsite Kroc Standards Reviews.
Assist Kroc personnel with consistent recruitment procedures with the territorial onboarding system. Assist with THQ (Territorial Headquarters) and CFOT (College for Officers Training) recruitment activity as requested.
Develop and establish consistent Kroc Center base pay structures, compensation plans and pay rates. Utilize geographic differentials as necessary. Evaluate the feasibility of variable pay structures that incentivize employees to achieve business goals in event rentals, membership sales, membership development, etc.
Work with Kroc Center HR Representatives, Divisional HR, the Territorial Legal Department and THQ HR Department to address and resolve complex employee relations and performance issues.
Standardize job descriptions and assist supervisors with the development and revision of job descriptions.
Plan, develop and implement compensation programs for divisions upon invitation; analyze job functions and organizational structure in order to develop job classifications; research and select appropriate market data, evaluate jobs and develop salary structures; assist HR staff in ensuring that positions are properly classified and assigned a salary range; assist in developing cost analysis for implementing new salary ranges and provide recommendations for salary adjustments when needed.
Maintain annual schedule for completion of external compensation, benefits and other HR related surveys; complete surveys per the schedule.
Work with other HR staff to evaluate training needs and develop/identify training programs for managers and employees across the territory utilizing current technologies.
Develop systems to measure effectiveness of training.
Human Capital Management System (10%):
Build and maintain awareness of the functionality and reporting capabilities of the HRIS.
Assist in maintaining HR practitioner security profiles and necessary system/reporting updates across the territory.

Education & Certification:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field.
Five years of experience performing progressively responsible work in an HR Generalist role
At least 2 years' experience in the area of compensation development and administration utilizing market data
Supervisory experience; this position supervises one direct report
Overnight travel throughout the central territory approximately six times per year and to conferences up to two times per year.
