Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Housing Facilities within University Residences will ensure facility readiness to meet the residential and academic needs of students working to achieve day-to-day department objectives with major impact on area of responsibility. This position services as facilities and contract subject matter expert and as the primary liaison between University Residences and service vendors. Ensures vendors deliver safe, clean, healthy and well-maintained residential and retail environments. Participate in conducting and/or coordinating quality resolution for contractual differences or disputes. Review data trends in SAP and other databases, and make decisions to address negative trends in key performance indicators. Participate in writing and updating Building Emergency Plans in support of campus and department emergency preparedness. Serves as primary Building Deputy for assigned facilities. Manages and directs all back of house logistics and activities. Professional focus and work culminate in providing safe, clean, and well-maintained living learning environments that support the academic support mission of Student Life and University Residences.

What We Are Looking For
Education and Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree
A minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in the following facility related areas: engineering, construction, custodial, maintenance, project management or business operations
Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered
For example, an Associate's degree and seven (7) years of experience or a High School Diploma/GED and nine (9) years of experience

Problem solving skills, fiscal analysis skills and strong attention to detail
