The assistant director for Loans will help Boston University Financial Assistance achieve University goals for recruitment, retention and superior service by assisting students in financing their education. This position will work as part of a team and manage various aspects of the financial aid and loans process for undergraduate and graduate student populations. The assistant director position is designed for someone with at least 3-5 years of professional experience in the financial aid or a related field and it will provide support and customer service to the central aid office and graduate aid offices. The ideal candidate will possess:
Strong analytical skills
Effective problem solving and communication skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Working knowledge of federal and state financial aid policies, procedures and regulations is preferred.
Bachelor's degree and at least one to three years of experience in a service and detail oriented position, strong analytical and organizational skills.
