The Assistant Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship serves as part of the WOSU Public Media Advancement team and is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive programs that ensure donors are acknowledged, recognized and shown the impact of their gifts. With a strong emphasis on driving WOSUs fundraising efforts forward through donor recognition and engagement, the Assistant Director manages WOSUs stewardship program and collaborates across WOSU units to ensure donors have positive experiences that build loyalty, engagement and support for WOSU.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Advancement, the Assistant Director operates with a high degree of organization, attention to detail, critical thinking and creativity in a global capacity, and interpersonal skills for interaction with leadership, Board members, development officers, donors, and key stakeholders. This position is responsible for proactively and independently realizing programmatic activities to include organizing and establishing priorities and managing projects with multiple deadlines and competing requirements.

The Assistant Director is expected to demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, evaluate and respond appropriately to problems, have excellent communication skills (both written and oral), and demonstrate computer competency and highly developed knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.

VIEW JOBS 11/5/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-03T00:00 TheOhio Department of Education seeks an outgoing, highly motivated,self-starting, detail oriented individual to serve as the Executive Director ofField Relations. The Executive Director reports to the Deputy Superintendentand is responsible for providing direction and oversight of the Department'sapproach to interacting with Ohio's education community. The Executive Directorwill coordinate and integrate field relations activities across thedepartment's various programmatic and operational centers of the Department, aswell as with the State Superintendent. Major Responsibilities and Duties: Infurtherance of Ohio's Strategic Plan for Education, Each Child, Our Future, serves as Executive Director for FieldRelations and works collaboratively with the Deputy Superintendent, keepingthem apprised of all relevant information: * Program Management: Oversees and manages a variety of department functions that support various operational aspects of schools and districts (e.g., Operating Standards, School Finance and Transportation, eRates). Provides strategic leadership, direction, project management, monitoring, oversight and support for these functions and supervises assigned employees; * Intra-Agency Collaboration: Builds and fosters collaborative relationships across department centers, programs, and offices (e.g., School Options, other staff, Educational Service Centers, State Systems of Support Teams, community organizations, public agencies, etc.) to promote the implementation of shared work across centers and education initiatives. Coordinates with other parts of the agency that work with external educational community stakeholders; * Education Community Stakeholder Relationships: Oversees engagement with a wide range of education stakeholders and partners (e.g., various associations, districts, schools, etc.) through facilitating regular meetings and making various presentations in the interest of sharing information, promoting effective relations with the education community, and ensuring stakeholder input into policy development and implementation; * Customer Service and Technical Assistance Activities: Establishes standards for customer service; monitors and provides feedback regarding all Department customer service and technical assistance activities including the Department's call center, and customer service supports provided by program and/or service offices; * Process Improvement: Conducts continuing studies of center/office practices and recommends improvements as necessary; Ensures processes are aligned with goals of ODE (e.g., policy development, work-flow, and communications); * Preparation of Written and Presentation Materials: Produces clear and useful written explanatory materials and presentations that serve to inform stakeholders regarding complex issues and policies; presents information to State Board of Education as needed. Works withsenior leadership to build a strong staff ensuring the competencies needed tosupport center strategic initiatives: * Works with associate and office directors to ensure the climate and culture represents a healthy and productive workplace; * Works with office directors to identify professional development/training needs of center staff; * Manages cross-office initiatives; * Conducts performance evaluations of staff. Minimum Qualifications: * Completion of a Master's degree or higher in one of the following areas: Education, Educational Leadership, or related field AND; * 5 years of demonstrated education leadership experience.
