Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) works closely with university administrators, department leadership, faculty, and the CFR team to raise necessary support for identified priorities. This individual is responsible for initiating, cultivating, and stewarding philanthropic relationships with local and national corporations and foundations while building successful internal partnerships across the university. Focusing on corporations and foundations capable of contributing gifts of at least $5,000 per year, this individual will build connections between existing and newly identified funding opportunities and appropriate academic and advancement partners.

Reporting to the AVP of Corporate and Foundation Relations, the Assistant Director will identify and evaluate potential new funding prospects and support faculty, staff, administrators, and student groups in drafting LOIs, concept papers, and other solicitation materials; initiate and cultivate relationships with corporations and foundations; lead high-level stewardship to corporate and foundation donors through quality written reports and related communications; and support project development to position campus partners for funding requests. The Assistant Director will also work collaboratively with other members of the Corporate and Foundation Relations team, as well as with the institute-wide University Advancement team on behalf of RIT. The Division of University Advancement operates in a team-oriented environment and the Assistant Director will serve as a key member of this team. The Assistant Director is expected to work collaboratively and seek ways to increase effectiveness and efficiency to reach yearly metrics.
