Job Responsibilities
Manage job board registrations, postings, and all related communication with students, employers/universities.
Provide one-on-one consultations: career counseling, vocational and interest inventories, job search skills, resumes and cover letters, professionalism, mock interviews, and other professional development topics.
Coordinate and execute college-wide career programming, biannual career fairs, and biannual transfer fairs.
Maintain a consistent relationship with existing employer partnerships and determine the employment needs related to education and training, establishing new employer contacts through outreach.
Communicate employment needs of training, certifications, and new programming to the institution.
Teach one section of Career Development 101 each fall and spring semester.
Interact with faculty and departmental advisory committees to encourage their support of available services for employers and students/graduates.
Maintain accurate records/files to provide data for requested reports/information; Establish and maintain the first destination survey for our graduates on all campuses.
Assist with the director's responsibilities in their absence and support junior-level staff members, as needed.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred: Master's degree in education, student personnel services, counseling, and guidance, or a field closely related to it. Two years of experience working with students within a higher-education setting.
