    Responsibilities The Assistant Director, Bureau of HIV Ambulatory Care Services will work within the Division of HIV and Health Care (DHHHC), AIDS Institute. The incumbent will be responsible to assist in directing the Bureau of HIV Ambulatory Care Services and will be responsible for managing and supervising staff. Specifically, the Assistant Director will be responsible for assisting in the direction of planning, development, quality review, and monitoring to assure optimal compliance in the delivery of services in accordance with established standards and protocols.

    In addition, the Assistant Director will work toward achieving compliance with contract funding application guidance, state mandates, and state and federal funding requirements. The Assistant Director, Bureau of HIV Ambulatory Care Services will evaluate service provision and develops strategies to modify services in response to evaluation findings, changes in budget, and changes in the HIV epidemic in coordination with the mission and goals of the AIDS Institute. Other appropriate related duties as assigned.

    Be part of a team that ends epidemics through the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategies that address health inequities. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of experience in the direction and/or management of an HIV/AIDS or other relevant program in a public health, health/human services, health regulatory program or community-based services organization; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and seven years of such experience; OR nine years of such experience. The years of experience must have included policy formulation, program planning, design, implementation, evaluation, and/or allocation of resources.

    At least three years of experience must have included supervision of staff and program management. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing or developing and implementing HIV/AIDS, sexual health, or public health program services; experience in the administration and management of contractual requirements for government or foundation contracts/grants.

    At least five years of experience in contract management/ program management, including the provision of technical assistance. Experience in program data evaluation and using data for quality improvement. At least five years of experience supervising staff.

    Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

    Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

    Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, up to 25% of the time, will be required. This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location.

    Telecommuting will be available. This position requires occasional work on weekends, after-hours, and holidays. HRI participates in the E-Verify Program.
