Job Description

The Lynch School of Education and Human Development is seeking an Assistant Director, Graduate Recruitment & Admissions to support its graduate student recruitment and enrollment efforts. The Enrollment Advisor will primarily support a portfolio of online and specialty graduate programs from areas that will include data science, teacher education, counseling, educational leadership, and more.

Under the direction of the Assistant Dean, the Assistant Director, Graduate Recruitment & Admissions will be responsible for proactive, quality outreach to prospective students and applicants by phone, text, and email. Additionally, the Assistant Director will plan and host webinar events and other recruiting activities with the goal of moving prospective students through the enrollment funnel. The Assistant Director will continually monitor each applicant's progress toward enrollment by tracking application starts, material submissions, admissions decisions, and enrollment decisions in the admissions system. The Assistant Director will create and manage mailings, events, and reports in the application system and CRM (Slate). The Assistant Director will provide updates to stakeholders on a regular basis and will take the initiative to adjust activities as needed in order to meet enrollment goals.

A successful Assistant Director, Graduate Recruitment & Admissions will have a positive attitude, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, the ability to do high-quality work in a fast-paced environment, and the drive to become an expert on the programs in their portfolio.

Title and salary commensurate with relevant experience based on the following titles and hiring ranges:

$55,850 - $69,800 - 1 - 5 years experience

$61,650 - $77050 - 5+ years experience

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred

2-4 years of professional experience in advising, recruiting, or closely related functional areas within a school, university, or non-profit setting. Experience in admissions preferred

Ability to conduct data analysis and to create detailed reports and strategic recommendations based on data

Demonstrated ability to manage time and work independently toward established goals

Strong knowledge of Google and Office suites required. Experience with application systems, CRMs, and/or student information systems is strongly preferred

Ability to do quality work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks successfully

Excellent phone etiquette and ability to communicate complex information verbally

Excellent written communication skills and ability to clearly understand and convey complex information by email and text

Ability to establish rapport with a wide range of people in order to foster strong advising relationships

Ability to work successfully with diverse populations

Exceptional attention to detail and organization
