Assumes responsibility for performing duties related to the University's application and admission process for prospective students. Assumes responsibility for adherence to rules and regulations governing federal, state, University, FERPA, and the NCAA including assisting in the education process extended to alumni and the community. Performs all duties in full support of the University's mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University's students.
Hiring Range $45,868 - $50,000 maximum

Description of Key Responsibility
Collects, reviews and evaluates student applications against University standards of admission to determine acceptance at the University. Maintains scores and scholarship ranking information for accepted students. Handles highly sensitive information with confidentiality and tact while safeguarding the interests and well-being of the student.
Description of Key Responsibility
Manage a targeted travel territory and fosters relationships with students and school counselors within that area. (Regular travel required). Represents the University of Hartford at local and regional recruitment events including, but not limited to college fairs and high school visits in an effort to promote the University and recruit prospective students.
Description of Key Responsibility
Counsels and advises prospective students and their parents regarding collegiate programs, application requirements and procedures as well as general financial aid assistance opportunities and procedures at the University. Stays informed regarding the current required curriculum within collegiate programs to ensure appropriate and accurate information is shared.
Description of Key Responsibility
Establishes, cultivates and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external constituents including campus departments, parents, and prospective students. Utilizes Slate CRM and Banner SIS database technology to best serve students. Responds to parent and student inquiries via e-mail, telephone and mail regarding admission requirements, curriculum, housing, the University community and general guidance, providing quality customer service and appropriate follow-up.
Description of Key Responsibility
Has responsibility for one or more of the following:
Provides support to the admission office with regard to admission technology, specifically leveraging and troubleshooting the Slate CRM throughout all admission processes to encourage streamlined tracking and outreach to prospective students. Works closely with the Office of Marketing Communication and Dean of Admission to setup e-mail and print campaigns for delivery, extract accurate and targeted lists/queries, generate and printing mail merges, and ensure successful campaign delivery. Proofreading, writing skills, and attention to detail are required.
Assist with development of recruitment strategies for diverse populations of prospective students and execution of these programming efforts. Manage the recruitment and admission of the Hartford/Bloomfield Scholars program and related programming and activities. Serves on campus-wide committees and participates in initiatives specific to diversity, campus climate, and inclusive excellence where appropriate.
