Position Overview

Support product design process from R & D phases to stock approval for Polo Sweaters category. Generate and update weekly the sweater line hseets. develop bear sweaters

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist Design team in the execution of product as defined by Line Plan/Design Briefs

  • Generate detailed hand drawn sketches, Adobe Illustrator flats; CAD multiple colorways

  • Prepare and manage flat and detail sketches in Illustrator to support construction hand- offs

  • Generate and maintain cads and line sheets with detailed information regarding yarn qualities, gauges, and factory.

  • Communicate product definition to merchandising team to support accurate line sheet/ GFE upload.

  • Work in PLM to load, update and maintain information as required

  • Work with Product Development and Trim Operations to understand status of all material and key components for both submits and samples.

  • As directed, facilitate development of material components ie fabric, trim, labels, logos

  • Support manager in design meetings, pre meeting design presentation boards, as well as post meeting re-caps, updates

  • Stay current with competitive market, new materials, and innovation.

  • Pull research from web sites, blogs, etc.

  • Maintain and keep organized the yarns that are being pulled and used for knitting.

  • Help generate development that is being sent to local knitters and HK.

  • Create graphs and knitting instructions from development to stock.

  • Support team in record keeping, organizing, and maintaining all documents and materials related to product.

  • Graph, knit and follow up on sweater bear development

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • Bachelor Degree in Fashion Design with 1-2 years of experience preferred, with knit wear back ground

  • Need to be highly detail oriented, thorough, accurate and dedicated to seeing a project through on time.

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Self-motivated worker who is flexible, eager to learn, and enjoys a fast paced dynamic work environment

  • Illustrator an Photo Shop required

  • Experience with PLM (or similar), Outlook, Excel, and Word required
