DEPARTMENT: The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is a NCAA Division II program and a member of the Northeast 10 Conference.

Consisting of 19 athletics teams, SCSU's outstanding program continually ranks among the top NCAA Division II programs in the nation, and also boasts a long record of dominance in the Northeast for both team and individual championships. The Owls rank among the top 10 nationally with 80 individual titles and in team championships with 10 titles. SCSU had NCAA championships representation in eight sports in 2016-17 and also ranked among the top-30 percent of all Division II programs in the Clearfield Sports Cup for the 11th straight year.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Coordinator of Athletic Facilities, the position provides general service to the total athletic program, including particular responsibility for the development and coordination of event management.

He/she assists the Coordinator in athletic facilities supervision, helps to establish policies and procedures and assists in providing direction and leadership to the department. This position involves significant evening and weekend hours.

QUALIFICATIONS: An earned bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years' experience in the administration of university athletic related programs.

Demonstrated ability to relate effectively to students, staff and general public. Master's degree preferred. Familiarity with computer programs as related to scheduling and budgeting.

These qualifications may be waived for individuals with appropriate alternate experience. Ability to effectively work with a diverse population of student athletes and coaches in a cultural climate that celebrates diversity.
