Assistant Controller

Assistant Controller Responsibilities:

• Ensure the timely preparation of monthly and year-end financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.

• Oversee the completion of all balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items.

• Manage the timely completion of all regulatory reporting (401(k), medical insurance plans, etc.)

• Coordinate and oversee all company auditing activities.

• Assume role of the Finance Department SME for the ERP system.

• Champion training and active learning programs to ensure accounting personnel maintain the expertise necessary to support the department's core duties and to meet organizational expectations.

• Nurture the development of accounting personnel by providing clear expectations, active support, and necessary information for their success.

• Spearhead departmental strategy and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's and master's degree in accounting required.

• Must possess active CPA license.

• Minimum of four years of accounting experience, including at least two years of auditing experience required.

• Strong business acumen and the drive to succeed required.

This is a direct hire position with a salary of $110,000-130,000/yr in addition to a comprehensive benefits package offered by our client which include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401K, profit sharing, education assistance, paid holidays/vacation, and more!
