Assistant Controller

This role is eligible for our hybrid work model: 2 days in-office.

From accounting and financial planning to risk/fraud analysis and payments, our Finance team ensures not only our company's financial security, but also that our customers can buy from us with confidence.

Why this job's a big deal:

This hands-on, high-potential professional will be the right-hand to the VP, Controller and will be a key player in managing the company's accounting function. This person will serve as the point of contact for technical questions and strategic initiatives throughout Priceline. This is a highly visible role and will help to ensure the company maintains a strong internal control environment as well as develop talent among the group.

In this role you will get to:

• In conjunction with the VP, Controller, lead an accurate and timely month-end close and related financial reporting for the company and its subsidiaries

• Ensure accuracy of judgmental reserves

• Key point of contact in establishing accounting models for new revenue arrangements

• Play pivotal role in finance transformation and modernization efforts including system implementations and functional optimization

• Identify inefficiency in the close process and implement necessary changes such as workflow and technical improvements

• Understand and analyze all transactions to ensure proper accounting under US GAAP and consistency with other BHI brands

• Coordinate analytical review on income statement for budget vs. actual variances with the company's Strategic Planning and Analysis team and analyze balance sheet variances and document explanations for variances

• Responsible for leading a global team including motivating, coaching, training and mentoring team members.

• Perform ad hoc financial analysis

Who you are:

• BS in a related discipline (accounting, finance, economics, business administration) MBA is preferred

• 12+ total years' experience, ideally experience as an assistant controller of a global division of a public company is desired

• CPA is strongly preferred

• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, OneStream and Blackline is desired

• Strong understanding of foreign currency accounting is required

• Experience working in an environment requiring quick turn around and in-depth financial analysis

• Ability to manage the monthly close process within a large global organization

• Excellent written and verbal communication and technical skills of US GAAP

• Good organizational and work management skills with the ability to manage and track multiple projects/tasks simultaneously

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, coordinate the efforts of others as well as work well with people at a wide range of levels

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.

The salary range for this position is $200,000-$250,000.
