About the opportunity:
NetDocuments is seeking an Assistant Controller to produce and manage balance sheets and analyze future earnings and expenses. The Assistant Controller will report to the Controller. The ideal candidate will have experience with management of accounting, auditing and budgeting within an organization.
What your contributions will be:
Lead the month-end and quarter-end close process ensuring that the reported results are accurate and complete. Prepare reports of monthly results for executive management and investors
Analyze accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department
Assess and re-engineer business processes, partnering with Information Systems to ensure the best use of financial systems with the re-engineered business processes
Lead the preparation of schedules used in compiling quarterly and annual financial statements. Prepare the financial reports and memos that are shared with executive management and our external auditors
Areas of focus include general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, payroll processing, vendor and partner payment processing, balance sheet reconciliation reviews, revenue recognition, financial statement footnote and other audit report disclosure preparation, financial system integrations/management and corporate credit card spend accounting
Coordinate and assist with the resolution of accounting issues. Provide technical accounting support on transactions and accounting issues as necessary
Facilitate the statutory reporting process. Work with outsource providers as appropriate to ensure all statutory requirements are met by the reporting deadlines
Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to the accountants on the team to improve their skills and overall performance of the team

What you will need for success:
BS/BBA in Accounting
Accounting experience required, 10+ years (preferably in software)
Certified Public Accountant
Preferred Experience:
NetSuite experience
Big Four public accounting experience
