About the role:

CLA is looking to hire an Assistant Controller with Manufacturing industry experience to join our CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) practice, based out of our office in Minneapolis, MN. As an Assistant Controller, you will help our clients transform their business with a collaborative approach that allows them to seamlessly mitigate risk, overcome challenges, meet deadlines, and identify personnel to help them with their workforce needs.

Primary Responsibilities…

• Record and analyze client's financial information.

• Analyze and interpret financial information that client leaders need to make sound business decisions.

• Prepare financial reports for other groups (creditors, regulatory agencies, and tax authorities, and more).

• Review and monitor costs inherent in the business.

• Schedule expenditures, analyzes variances, and may identify corrective actions when necessary.

• Independently prepare financial statements.

• Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, prepare budgets, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions when necessary.

What you will need:

• Education: Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

• Experience: 4 years relevant work experience as a Controller or equivalent is required.

• Relevant experience in the Manufacturing industry is highly preferred! Public accounting experience preferred but not required.

• Aptitude for developing and maintaining a thorough working knowledge of accounting software and systems. QuickBooks experience is preferred.

• Proficiency with applicable software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

• Travel: This position requires frequent local travel to/from local area client sites and may require occasional non-local or overnight travel for client visits, training, meetings and/or other business-related purposes.

The wage range for this position is: $75,550.00 - $134,000.00

Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.
