Assistant Controller Duties:

• Assist the Corporate Controller in directing the organization's accounting functions and corporate financial reporting.

• Preparation of financial statements.

• Some FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting and cash management.

• Serves as plant controller for a business unit.

• Corporate level control of journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Local tax compliance.

• Ensures that accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization.

• Responsible for developing staff.

• Prepares schedules and works directly with external auditors and tax preparers.

• Integrating and implementing accounting / financial tech solutions.

Assistant Controller Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.

• CPA certification or pursuit preferred.

• Experience in preparing financial statements.

• Knowledge of local tax compliance.

• Highly proficient in Excel.

• Supervisory experience is a plus.

• 4 years public/private accounting audit experience.

• Construction industry experience preferred.
