Assistant Controller, Student Life
Providing support to the Controller, the Assistant Controller for Student Life helps with the planning, budgeting and guiding of financial operations within student focused business/extracurricular activities in the areas of Student Life including: Residence Life, the Wilkinson Student Center, Extramural and Intramural Sports, and Outdoors Unlimited. This assignment includes assisting managers and area supervisors with compliance, accuracy, project management, and general accounting procedures.

Project Planning
Cash and Capital Needs Projections
Evaluate/Train personnel in Workday Processes and procedures
Review controls and processes
Post adjustments and create reconciliations
Budgeting and Reporting
Purchasing and Travel approvals
What qualifies you for this role:
Required
A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
Bachelor of Accountancy or related field
5 years of related experience
Understanding of accounting principles and concepts
Proficient in Excel and comfortable with computer technology
Preferred
Masters of Accountancy or related field
10 years of related experience
Familiar with BYU accounting processes (PeopleSoft and/or Workday ERP)
Familiar with budgeting and asset replacement and remodeling cycles
Understanding of database structure and programming
