Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. The Assistant Controller reports to the Controller and will supervise a group of 12+ employees. The primary responsibility is to ensure the accurate and timely completion of monthly financial statements including income statement, balance sheet and cashflow coupled with accurate and timely reporting to parent entity and ultimate parent entity in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monthly financial close and accuracy/integrity of accounting and financial information

  • Lead HFM monthly consolidation processes into ultimate parent entity

  • Lead and review monthly account reconciliation processes

  • Lead intercompany processes

  • Prepare cashflow forecasts on a business unit level

  • Adequately resource and develop the Finance team, including hiring, supervising, training, and completion of annual reviews

  • Respond in a timely and accurate manner to requests for information from internal and external clients (auditors, accounting, proposal support, etc.) including preparation of interim financial statements

  • Ensure banking compliance with Global Treasury Policy including overseeing bank account governance processes are in place

  • Liase with Global Treasury on Hedging requirements and related accounting transactions

  • Provide audit support for internal and external audit requests

  • Prepare/review supplemental and other supporting documentation to meet reporting deadlines

  • Perform financial benchmarking, including executive reporting of key performance indicators

  • Analyze and trend variances in the financial results; including heavy involvement in reviewing and resolving financial issues, daily

  • Lead and perform various special projects and analysis as requested by senior stakeholders

  • Lead Implementation of new IFRS standards including roll out of Group Accounting Policies

  • Provide strategic accounting advise to all stakeholders were required including CFO & Controller

  • Overall responsibility for integrity of ERP System (General Ledger and Fixed Asset Module)

  • Oversee tax pack preparations and the fielding of any questions from Group Tax

  • Partake in reviewing/releasing of cash disbursements to third parties aligned with bestowed level of authority

Skills / Qualifications

  • BA/BS in accounting, CPA, CA preferred

  • Knowledge of IFRS

  • 10+ years accounting

  • Oracle and Hyperion Financial Management experience preferred

  • Prior Audit/Assurance experience desired

  • Prior supervisory experience required

  • Strong PC Literacy, including MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Goal and team oriented with both excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to work well with management, peers, employees, vendors and clients

Job Summary The Associate Pipeline Controller position based in Alpharetta, GA, monitors and controls the flow of product across the system, and ensures that related tasks and activities are completed safely while maintaining system integrity. Applies standard methods of operating, operations philosophies and tools to ensure control processes are conducted consistently. Expected to contribute to process improvements and troubleshoot issues. Demonstrates competencies consistently. Applies knowledge of cross-functional operations in accomplishing work assignments. Essential Functions and Responsibilities The responsibilities included represent typical responsibilities for this job and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed. Management reserves the discretion to assign additional duties and/or to change job requirements. * Proactively monitors and controls pipeline pressures and flow rates by remotely starting and stopping appropriate pumping units. Reads, evaluates, and comprehends graphic schedules to maintain accurate movements and deliveries of the product; routinely provides constructive feedback to Schedulers. * Ensures product quality by adhering to Quality Assurance Guidelines. * Monitors and correctly responds to alarms caused by normal, abnormal, and emergency conditions. * Executes documented procedural action plans promptly to prevent or minimize emergency situations. * Monitors hourly over/short records to detect leaks, errors or meter problems through use of (CPM) Computational Pipeline Monitoring program. * Accomplishes scheduled operations at acceptable pressures and minimum costs through the use of the Advanced Systems Planning Model. * Directs field personnel on starting and closing out full stream originations, injections and deliveries. * Advises field personnel on pump unit changes, scraper passages, interface arrival times, batch volumes, schedule changes, product characteristics and other pertinent information. * Initiates unit changes and opens in and closes out automated product deliveries. * Maintains accurate and detailed records of line operation including hourly record of pumping and deliveries. * Assimilates revisions in procedures and new information in order to maintain effective operations. * Accesses policies and procedures on-line as necessary to ensure accurate execution of all operating conditions. * Monitors self and others to control the work environment to remove distractions or any occurrence that could impede the safe and effective functioning of the desk. * Acts timely to abort any action that is believed to be unsafe in the operation of the pipeline. Job Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent Completed * CC training program and achieved OQ qualifications * Maintain Operator Qualification * Fatigue Management Requirements * Maintain shift lengths and schedule rotations as established and coordinated by management to ensure off-duty time sufficient to achieve eight hours of continuous sleep. * Acquire and retain necessary training to be fully educated on Company fatigue mitigation strategies and how off-duty activities contribute to fatigue, complying with the mandated maximum limit of controller hours-of-service.
