The Assistant Controller will be responsible for overseeing Alianza's USA operations, month end close and related financial reporting, ensuring compliance with US GAAP. They will be responsible for developing and implementing well-documented policies, internal controls and improving operating efficiencies. Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for timely completion of the month-end close procedures and financial statement review.
Provide monthly financial statement variance analysis and reporting
Provide accounting support to the Controller, ad hoc projects as required
Liaise with internal and external audit for mid-year and year-end audit support
Create PBC Audit schedules and samples, as requested by external auditors
Redesign P2P process to establish and more robust internal controls while identifying inefficiencies and streamlining operations.
Document P2P and other processes for cross training and audit compliance
Establish an internal control framework and establish compliance with internal procedures and controls
Assist in Netsuite ERP Implementation
Identify, research, and document the Alianza's technical accounting transactions; work proactively with external auditors to drive timely closure of technical accounting matters
Serve as a subject matter expert on US GAAP and GAAP reporting requirements
Conduct technical accounting research on complex transactions and new accounting pronouncements, prepare and document accounting policy positions
Evaluate business transactions for proper U.S. GAAP accounting treatment and prepare technical memorandums for significant and/or non-routine transactions
Assist with financial due diligence, purchase price accounting, opening balance sheet auditing and integration of any future M&A transactions.

Oversee the USA transactional accounting team's daily operations
Required Experience/Skills:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, MACC preferred
CPA preferred
NetSuite experience preferred
6+ years of working experience with at least 2+ years public accounting experience
Thorough knowledge of US GAAP, strong technical writing skills and experience in the implementation and handling of complex US GAAP accounting matters with proven ability to research and clearly articulate and document complex technical accounting issues
Ability to set and keep deadlines at a fast pace while still maintaining high-quality work
Outstanding organizational and project management skills with extensive experience managing multiple complex assignments simultaneously
High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information
Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner
