Assistant Contracts Officer
INTRODUCTION
Programme & Project Partners (PPP) will provide project and program management support to deliver numerous major construction projects associated with developing the infrastructure required for the reprocessing and making safe of nuclear waste material at Sellafield Nuclear Site in West Cumbria, United Kingdom.
PPP was formed with an integrated team for a 20-year programme duration. The PPP partnership is comprised of the Integration Partner (KBR), Engineering & Design Partner (Jacobs), Civil Construction Partner (Morgan Sindall), Process Construction Partner (Altrad Babcock), and Sellafield as the 5th Partner.
To support the delivery of the major projects PPP aims to build a secure, and resilient Common Data Environment (CDE) for use of its major projects. This will create a single digital location in which all critical information on a project is brought together in real-time across the PPP Partnership allowing all teams to collaborate in an effective and efficient manner.
As part of this delivery PPP requires an Assistant Contracts Officer to provide contract management support to the delivery of the CDE as part of the Digital Delivery team.
ROLE
The position can be based in Warrington with regular visits to West Cumbria or vice versa. Role allows for flexible / hybrid working arrangements but will require attendance at a PPP location for 60% of the working week.
Functionally this role will report to the PPP Services Commercial team, but day to day will be predominantly deployed into the Digital Delivery team to provide contract management expertise.
MAIN RESPONSBIBILITES
Lead on all contract management duties associated with the CDE, that will include, but not limited to:
Contract Administration
Application for Payments
Change Management
Supplier Management
Management of commercial documentation
Final Accounts
Delivery of commercial actions to support delivery of Digital Delivery team.
Provide commercial advice to the Digital Delivery team.
Engagement with stakeholders to ensure contractual obligations are achieved.
Communication and collaboration with other members of the Commercial team.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Experience providing contract management support services.
Previous experience managing Digital Delivery / IT subcontracts an advantage.
Degree educated in Commercial Management, Law, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
Able to demonstrate experience dealing with multiple stakeholder & client interface.
Strong personal attributes in planning and organising, being a team player and accepting responsibility.
Strong numeracy and financial management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office applications.
Chartered member to a recognised organisation (RICS or CIOB) an advantage.
