Construction Management is responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site construction activities through installation on a project or multiple projects. Monitors safety, quality, and schedule in the field, while providing technical expertise and ensuring work in place meets quality requirements of contract documents, applicable codes, and Disney standards. Coordinates with all WDI Studios, Operations and Security, contractors, vendors, and governmental agencies. This is the responsible studio for everything that happens on construction projects, including all impacts on Operations.

What You Will Do
Manages the safety program in close coordination with Worldwide Safety
Monitors construction management contract compliance, submittal, and shop drawing process
Reviews contract applications for payment and makes recommendations to the Construction Manager
Maintains clarification, submittal, and deficiency logs
Coordinates with governmental agencies
Prepares site logistics plans
Manages Owner Furnished items
Keeps record of weather impacts
Facilitates production of mock-ups/first articles for approval
Prepares contract directives for Construction Manager review
Assist with informational flow and tracking of project critical documentation including RFI's, submittals, shop drawings, substitutions, and changes
Assist field team with daily issue resolution with other team members
Perform multiple daily site walks and inspections throughout all areas of the site, including investigative and troubleshooting assessments
Assist with punch/completion lists
Track permits through the COA website
Provide occasional site coverage
Implement QA/QC and safety responsibilities
Required Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of outside job-related experience or 2+ years of WDI Construction Management
Experience with scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and quality control
Experience preparing professional bid packages
Experience hiring outside vendors
Ability to understand the needs of the client and to maintain relationships between the owner/operator
Ability to comfortably communicate with project team, vendors, consultants, and WDI/DPEP partners
Understanding of the Project Development process
Organization skills and task management
Expanded computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and using platforms such as Bluebeam and BIM 360 Field/Glue/Docs
Education
A Bachelor's degree in a WDI Core discipline (such as Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture) or related profession is required, and a concentration in Construction Engineering or Construction Management is preferred
Preferred certifications in OSHA 30 and AED/CPR
