Overview

The Break Time Commissary Assistant Manager helps oversee the day-to-day operations of the AnyTime Eats food service programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to expense control, waste control, inventory, labor control, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Break Time Commissary Manager, assist with management of the day-to-day operations of the AnyTime Eats program, including product preparation, product safety, profitability and expense control

  • When directed, order product, manage inventory, prepare monthly audits, and take corrective action when needed

  • Ensure product is properly received, rotated, and stored in its proper place

  • Enter daily invoices/purchase orders in an accurate and timely manner

  • Follow guidelines, recipes and wall charts for proper preparation and execution of all food service programs

  • Enforce proper food safety protocol and procedures by keeping current/ongoing QA records of sanitation

  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment, following company standards for cleanliness and food safety, and ensuring equipment and food service area are properly cleaned and maintained

  • Consistently and timely inspect products for correct time and temperatures, cleanliness, rotation, portioning and pricing

  • Aid in managing work schedules & labor hours by ensuring all shifts are covered with minimal overtime

  • Supervise and train employees on preparation and execution of all food service programs

  • Ensure that all employees obtain adequate food safety training (food handler's card or equivalent)

  • Follow posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked

  • All MFA Oil employees are expected to know and adhere to company and position specific policies and procedures. While this job description contains the primary duties of the position, employees may be expected to perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 year of food service experience

  • Obtain adequate food safety training (food handler's card or equivalent) and any other required certification within 30 days of hire

  • ServeSafe certified or able to complete the course and pass test within 30 days of hire

  • Capability to learn new concepts and use technical materials

  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations in order to make change, complete shift reports and account for numbers of products during vendor check in

  • Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery

  • Ability to exchange accurate information with supervisors, co-workers and customers in English

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and after regular business hours

  • Physical ability to move and position self to move and retrieve products and supplies form shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Physical ability to remain in a stationary position (standing, sitting and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift

  • Ability to visually observe and inspect items and work environment for regular job responsibilities and safety concerns

  • Physical ability to work in a 50-degree Fahrenheit commercial kitchen for duration of shift

  • Physical ability to move and position products in cooler with temps as low as 30 degrees for up to 1 hour

  • Physical ability to move and position products in the freezer with temps as low as 0 degrees for up to 10 minutes

  • Ability to occasionally ascend/descend ladders to handle inventory or products

  • Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment background and drug test

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
