Assistant Coach, Women's Basketball

The Assistant Coach is responsible for supporting the head coach in executing the organization, administration and coaching of the Women's Basketball program.

Duties: The assistant coach will:

• Promote a clearly defined philosophy of coaching and teaching Women's Basketball and assist the head coach in preparing the team for competition at the highest level possible.

• Assist in recruiting and retaining student-athletes.

• Assist the head coach in supervising volunteer assistants.

• Support the head coach in meeting fundraising goals.

• Reports facility or equipment deficiencies or ideas and recommendations to the head coach.

• Support the head coach in promoting a positive and collaborative partnership with the athletic department and physical plant leadership.

• Drive college or rental vehicle for away competition or team official functions.

• Collect and submit team game statistics.

• Support and assist, when appropriate, in all team student-athlete success programs.

• Display a commitment to equality in player development and training.

• Provide student-athletes with a supportive and inclusive environment.

• Support head coach's off- season team activities for player development and engagement.

• Comply with all College and USCAA, policies and procedures / rules and regulations and all other aspects of directing a quality intercollegiate Basketball program.

• Act as a mandatory reporter for student issues and concerns and potential Title IX and College Code of Conduct violations.

• Coach as a professional, mentor, and excellent representative of the values of Bucks County Community College.

• Participate in athletic department sponsored student-athlete functions or special events.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in coaching intercollegiate or high school athletics.

• Knowledge and experience coaching Women's Basketball.

• Knowledge of NCAA, USCAA, or NJCAA rules and compliance.

• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPR certification, First Aid

Season Salary: $4,000
