Job Summary:

The Athletics Department at Marist College invites applications for a full-time, 12-month position as an Assistant Coach for Women's Basketball. The position will report to the Head Women's Basketball Coach and participate in all aspects of team management including practice and game preparation and execution. The position is responsible for the identification, research of, and communication with prospective student-athletes. The assistant coach will also assist in the academic, athletics, personal and career mentoring of student-athletes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • Valid Driver's License Required

  • 3-5 Years Relevant Experience Required

Essential Functions:

  • Recruit student-athletes to Marist College

  • Provide mentoring to student-athletes

  • Assist the head coach in game preparation, practice/training planning and team management

  • Collaborative work with coaching staff in overall team management

  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by head coach and athletic director

  • Typical eligibility requirements: 1 year of service and 1,000 hours with Marist College.

  • 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity - Roth option available. Voluntary, up to IRS maximum contribution.

  • Tuition Benefits:

  • Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26.

  • College pays 100% tuition only.

  • Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.

  • Eligibility requirements including waiting periods and/or employee probationary periods may apply at the discretion of the College.
