Description
Assistant Coach: Men's and Women's Rowing
The assistant coach for men's and women's rowing assists the head coach in the planning and operation of all aspects of the rowing programs at Iona University. This includes planning and preparing for practice, all competitions, and providing input on player evaluation and other decisions concerning team operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinating recruiting, from identifying prospective student-athletes, to organizing visits, contacts, and evaluations
Overseeing practice in conjunction with head coach and staff
Assist with coordination of team travel, including booking transportation, hotels, and organizing itineraries
Assist with regatta management for home races
Other duties assigned by the Head Coach
Qualifications
Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree required
Credentials should reflect proven success in coaching, recruiting, and working with student athletes
Knowledgeable of NCAA rules and regulations
Must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic
Collegiate coaching or rowing experience preferred, especially in NCAA Division I
