Minimum Qualifications:

Doctoral degree in special education or closely related field by date of appointment and 5 years relevant professional experience in a K-12 or related setting for appointment to Assistant Clinical Professor. Master's degree in special education or closely related field and 5 years relevant professional experience in a K-12 or related setting for appointment to Assistant Clinical Lecturer.

Desired Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to candidates with any of the following:

  • Experience teaching in inclusive school-based settings

  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices in inclusive education

  • Engagement with anti-racist, anti-ableist, anti-oppressive, culturally-responsive, sustaining pedagogies; student-centered and socioemotional pedagogies and practices

  • Expertise in the area of Disability Studies, Disability Studies in Education, or Critical Special Education

  • Experience teaching and/or developing high-quality online courses.

  • Expertise and/or teaching experience related to one or more disciplines in the Department of Educational Psychology such as Learning Science and Human Development, School Psychology, Instructional Design and Technology, or Disability Studies.
