Assistant Civil Project Manager

CEI Engineering is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in the Commercial I Department at our home office in Bentonville, AR. The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Project Manager in managing and coordinating projects with the overall goal of providing quality outcomes to CEI clients. Responsibilities will entail heavy client interaction through all parts of a project including conceptual and design phase, regulatory review process, bidding, construction, and through project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage land development projects by creating scope and budgets, directing the civil site design, and coordinating work with other staff and design team members

  • Be a key point of contact with clients, contractors, and local government officials

  • Review project design aspects including site layouts, grading plans, storm water management facilities, water quality practices, and utilities

  • Review work products, quality control, and budgeting

  • Mentor, develop, and supervise staff

  • Other duties as assigned

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, landscape architecture, or equivalent training/experience

  • At least two years of experience in land/site development with experience in site planning, utilities, drainage, quality control, and site entitlement

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and Microsoft office Suite

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

  • Strong sense of personal initiative and drive to meet client expectations

  • P.E.,L.A., or EIT strongly preferred

CEI Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking a Civil Project Designer/EIT to join our office in Bentonville, AR. The Project Designer will provide AutoCAD design and drafting support for various civil site development projects from conceptual phase through construction documents. Tasks will include developing small and large scale commercial, industrial, public works, and parks/recreation projects. This position has required travel, which may be at least 50% at the position responsibilities. Key Responsibilities * Develop complete sets of site development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D including site geometry, utility, erosion and sediment control, grading/drainage plans and details in accordance with client and CEI design standards * Analyze surveys, field notes, maps, aerial photographs, and other materials to identify potential project constraints and the best approach in developing and completing projects on time and on budget * Perform drainage calculations for slopes, sewer design, hydraulic systems, detention ponds, etc. * Independently complete redlines and plan revisions * Research and review deeds, ordinances, technical reports, municipal, state and federal codes to ensure compliance * Collaborate with project managers and design staff to provide status updates, discuss challenges, and address plan revisions * Other duties as assigned Key Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, landscape architecture, or equivalent training/experience * High proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft office suite * Full range of visual depth perception and the ability to distinguish colors * Valid Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and ability to occasionally travel overnight * At least two years of relevant CAD design experience strongly preferred * EIT preferred * Valid Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and heavy travel may be required for this position, up to at least 50%.
