The medical center features a 24-hour, physician-staffed emergency department, Level II neonatal center, minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgical services, round-the-clock hospitalist care, same-day surgery and ambulatory care, sleep lab, pain management clinic, wound healing center, endoscopy center, cardiac rehabilitation program, cardiac catheterization lab, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation (physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy), in-house dialysis, laboratory services, interventional radiology, teleneurology, telestroke and tele-infectious disease services, and a wide spectrum of diagnostic imaging equipment.
In 2019, the American College of Cardiology recognized East Georgia Regional Medical Center for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain. EGRMC was awarded Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI Accreditation based on a rigorous onsite evaluation of the staff's ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who may be experiencing a heart attack.

As part of the CNO Development Program, this position will require relocation outside of Statesboro, GA within an acceptable timeframe for promotion/transfer.
Responsibilities of the ACNO include, but are not limited to:
Assist the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in providing leadership to nurse employees that will enroll their support, create ownership of goals, and have them actively participate in decisions that impact the hospital
Assist the CNO in maintaining necessary regulatory and compliance approvals and quality accreditations
Partnering with physicians who use, or will use, the hospital
Assisting in planning new services that generate additional sources of profitable revenue
Creating an environment that will encourage recruiting and retention of clinical employees
Assisting the CNO in managing costs by continually seeking data that will identify opportunities and take action to eliminate non-value costs
Assisting the CNO in establishing standards for nursing practices and maintain authority, accountability and responsibility for nursing services
Developing organizational patient care programs, policies, and procedures that describe how nursing care is assessed, delivered, and evaluated.
Assisting the CNO in developing and managing the nursing services budget and ensuring a sufficient number of qualified staff to assess patient needs
Planning and providing nursing care interventions and prevent complications, promote improvement and patient comfort and wellness
Analyzing areas in planning, promoting and conducting organization-wide performance improvement activities
Representing the nursing services at meetings as deemed necessary; participates with department heads in designing and providing patient care and services
The ACNO will oversee multiple departments within the hospital as assigned. This position reports directly to the CNO and in the absence of the CNO, the ACNO may be required to interpret hospital policy and provide guidance.
Education:
Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
Master's degree required
Experience:
Must possess detailed knowledge of hospital nursing operations
Minimum 2 years of demonstrated successful leadership in an acute-care hospital environment (For-profit experience preferred)
