SUMMARY

A successful candidate will be responsible for the successful operation of the day-to-day activities within the Table Games department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Believe and demonstrate, through their work, the GSR Vision and Mission Statement.

  • Oversees the Table Games activities during an assigned shift. Strong knowledge of table games protection, policies and procedures with ability to communicate those principals.

  • Coordinates with multiple departments to ensure total guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

  • Ensures compliance with federal and state gaming regulations.

  • Maintains visual presence on casino floor.

  • Provides timely leadership, motivation and guidance to direct reports in pursuit of company objectives while ensuring highly effective performance by those direct reports.

  • Assures that surveillance is notified as required by casino policies and procedures and notifies the Table Games Manager of any discrepancies.

  • Responsible for successfully onboarding all new Team Members on their assigned shift.

  • Assists with managing and controlling labor and game spread to optimize business needs.

  • Responsible for the overall maintenance, appearance and supply of all gaming equipment including layouts, chairs, shoes, discard racks and other miscellaneous gaming equipment.

  • Counts new and used card inventory and verifies logs with outgoing CSM.

  • Reviews staffing needs with the pencil to ensure proper coverage and work assignments for dealers and supervisors.

  • Provides job performance coaching, mentoring, and when necessary, correction to direct reports.

  • Completes annual reviews and individual performance development plans.

  • Prepares daily reports.

  • Actively promotes GSR tournaments, promotions and events.

  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, termination, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, reward and disciplining Team Members, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE (Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience)

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and administrative skills.

  • Possess a working knowledge of all games, house rules and Table Games counting methods and procedures as well as Title 31 and tax laws.

  • Must have knowledge of gaming regulations, understanding of computer-generated reports.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified information.

  • Must be competent with various PC based gaming software programs as well as Microsoft Office products.

  • Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with the public and staff.

  • Must possess excellent business sense and a high level of professional ethics.

  • Must hold a high regard for guest service and Team Member relations.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

  • State of Nevada Gaming License

  • Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A High school diploma or equivalent is a requirement.

  • A Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in business and financial planning courses preferred.

  • Minimum of five years' experience in table games environment and two years' experience in a supervisory capacity. One year in a management capacity preferred.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to perform in fast paced and goal-oriented environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee: must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with guests, management, team members and others. Is regularly required to sit; stand; walk and move through all areas of the casino; speak and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. May reach with hands and arms above shoulder level; bend/stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift and push/pull. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
