Assistant Budget Director

Job Summary

The Assistant Director will advise senior executives, including all county department and agency heads, guide operating budget development, and lead a dynamic and highly efficient team responsible for the County's annual operating budget. This position will manage the development, monitoring, and execution of the County's operating budget, including complex revenue forecasting and modeling to support collective bargaining negotiations.

Candidates should demonstrate in their application materials strong analytical and public speaking skills and effective personnel management abilities, including staff development and performance management. This position oversees the work of 14 managers and analysts.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in public administration, business, or related fields with at least five (5) years of experience of directly relevant and progressively responsible experience. Experience should include at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity, preferably within a government setting. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
