Target pay range for this position is USD $28.00 - $33.00/hour. The full salary range for this position is: USD $25.29 - $36.63/hour.

The Assistant Branch Manager will implement plans and programs identified by the location Branch Manager. This responsibility is focused on the support of organizational strategies through actions such as engaging in community outreach, executing on member experience expectations, developing and implementing appropriate business and risk management considerations, and developing team members so they can perform optimally and drive business success. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Business Management

  • Takes action to ensure all team members are trained on all operational procedures and effectively perform tasks related to their role.

  • Ensures compliance with banking regulations.

  • Coordinates regular team meetings and sessions to ensure communication flow, scheduling, and one on one meetings effectively engage and keep team members informed with key information and updates.

  • Seeks and analyzes data to recommend and implement business improvements.

Leadership and People Development

  • Provides effective and timely formal and informal coaching that contributes to individual success of all team members; documents both successes and opportunities for improvement to reinforce enhanced performance for all team members.

  • Demonstrates personal and team accountability for results.

  • Encourages feedback and recommendations from team members.

  • Participates or leads in employee development processes such as performance reviews, and performance development plans.

  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence; provides feedback and coaching in a manner that builds buy in and accountability.

Risk Management

  • Utilizes a curious and proactive approach to ensure risk and safety priorities are at the forefront of business operations.

  • Partners with Branch Manager to ensure audits are completed timely and proper remedies are implemented as a result of findings.

  • Partners with Branch Manager to be certain that the physical premises are secure for employees and members; takes action to address any inconsistencies.

  • Partner with Branch Manager ensure all training and education related to compliance are prioritized completed timely by all team members.

Sales and Service

  • Leads by example by demonstrating effective consultative sales and service interactions; engages with members to ensure all teller/new account/loan needs are met in support of an effective team atmosphere when needed.

  • Builds and shares knowledge to ensure all SCU business lines are appropriately supported at the branch level.

  • Demonstrates and coaches toward a high-quality member service experience.

  • Provides individual and team feedback that contribute to baseline and improved individual/branch sales, service, and achievement of operational goals.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high transaction, retail banking business environment.

  • Minimum of 1 year leading or coaching others.

  • High School or GED.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of credit union history and its philosophy.

  • Knowledgeable about financial products and services to include deposit and lending products and IRA.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associates Degree in business or similar.

Working Conditions:

  • This is an onsite role with work performed in an office and/or branch environment in the Greater Seattle area of Washington State.

  • Team members may attend special off-hour meetings and seminars.

  • Employees are generally assigned to one location, however, may occasionally fill in at other locations.

  • Saturday hours may be required.

  • The nature of work may include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and may also include standing for prolonged periods.

  • This role may have direct exposure to robbery.
