Assistant Branch Manager (HVACR)

This position is an integral part of the management, logistics and operations of our Southern California branch.
The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for the efficient scheduling of all HVACR service work performed within their designated branch. This person is an assistant manager of a team consisting of 10 to 15 service technicians. This position will schedule and direct all work from start to finish. This position is responsible for monitoring and review all digital job collateral including pictures, data, work acknowledgements, and supporting customer paperwork to ensure work is completed to RESSAC standards and customer requirements. This person will order new parts and manages the return of warranty parts. This person operates in an office environment.
This is a full time non-exempt hourly position.
Scheduling of jobs and their related resources including technicians, ladders, lifts, cranes, or any other equipment.
Calling site to ensure access is available and approved by property managers and/or job site customer contacts.
Communicating with technicians frequently throughout the day to ensure they stay on schedule and on task. Reviewing pictures, paperwork, and related collateral to ensure that jobs are completed according to requirements of the customer. Reviewing job status updates from field staff ensuring that they are clear, concise, and professional. Ordering of parts and managing the return of warranty parts. Ensuring that parts are shipped to their proper location. Performing any or all the job functions of the Service Manager when necessary. Assuming role of on-call emergency after hour's customer service agent, technical adviser, and dispatcher on a periodic basis.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years' experience as an HVACR technician or equivalent required.
Associates degree in HVACR, project management, and/or business a plus.
NATE certification required.
Ability and interest to work a full day in an office environment answering phones & emails required.
Skill in communicating clearly, concisely, and professionally both verbally and in writing required.
Skill in directing others and motivating high levels of performance in the absence of direct authority a plus.
Strong computer software skills (eg. Word, Excel, Outlook, Acrobat, 40+ WPM typing) required.
