Job Description:

Assist manager with any and all duties, and act in his/her place when he/she is not present

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Must be able to produce a level of sales required by management and Havertys policy by serving customers, selling products, and performing all duties required of a Sales Associate.

  • May assist in sales training of sales staff

  • May supervise the sales department and hold sales meetings. Follow-up prospecting and scheduling

  • May communicate with inventory control and assist in ordering

  • May perform code changes on floor to include retagging merchandise

  • May oversee customer service and handle difficult complaints

  • May oversee display of floor and supervise merchandise on and off floor

  • May assist in moving furniture around the showroom floor

  • May help sales associates close sales

  • May assist with credit applications and credit memos

  • May assist manager in personnel matters and discipline

  • May assist manager with advertising plans and help to execute them

  • May assist manager with merchandising, customer service, office duties, delivery operations and scheduling

You may occasionally be required to perform the duties listed below as needed:

  • Prepares bank deposits and daily closing summary

  • Maintains an organized and secure office environment

  • Answers incoming calls

  • Reviews the Unconfirmed sales for the next 8 delivery days.

  • Processes customer sales and account transactions.

  • Handles customer complaints, opens store notes, and follows up on existing customer service tickets

  • Works the Expected Deliveries to ensure sales are completed and schedules deliveries as needed.

  • Runs and works the daily reports.

  • Communicates with Havertys Credit Services for account requests and follow-up

Job Requirements


Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Qualifications

  • Must have sales and furniture knowledge.

  • Computer literacy required with Microsoft Office experience preferred.

  • Must be detail-oriented and excellent communication skills.

  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions

  • Must be able to work independently while using discretion

The Assistant Branch Manager plays a critical role in achieving the business goals while promoting extraordinary customer service to further the Coldwell Banker culture and value system. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruit, acquire, and retain productive sales associates. Includes but is not limited to: * Support Branch Manager the sales associate recruitment process for brokerage office. * Provide front line support in the execution of retention strategy to retain the top producers and performers. * Support the day-to-day management of branch operations to maximize profit and organic growth of branch office. Includes but is not limited to: * Coach, motivate and develop sales associates and staff by utilizing all available tools including, but not limited to prospecting, technology and business development programs. * Work with partners in finance and Branch Manager to manage within the budget and financial forecasts for the Branch Office. * Leverage relationships within the industry to promote the brand, sales associates and increase market share. Support Realogy's full value circle and full service offering to real estate consumers. Includes but is not limited to: * Support initiatives for driving penetration of preferred services (mortgage, title, home warranty, insurance and relocation) in order to meet or exceed yearly assigned goals for the office. * Ensure compliance within branch office with Company policies and procedures, including Realogy's Code of Ethics and Key Policies, industry and employment regulations and with state and federal laws; including RESPA and Fair Housing Standards. Managing Staff: Responsible for the general management (direct or dotted line) office support staff. This includes but is not limited to: * Recruiting, interviewing, hiring for all support staff positions. * Ongoing training and development. * Preparing staff schedules; Reviewing and approving time cards. * Annual performance reviews. Qualifications: * Three + years' experience selling real estate required. * Active Real Estate License required. * Technologically proficient in all areas including but not limited to: familiarity with various operating systems on PCs and Macs and ability to navigate computer software and hardware. * Ability to learn new software programs on an as needed basis, skillful in using the following programs including, but not limited to: Microsoft office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, and Adobe programs such as Adobe Acrobat. * Working knowledge of business and financial acumen including demonstrated P&L understanding required. * Experience in training, coaching and leading people, groups and organizations preferred. * Exceptional presentation and public speaking skills; impeccable grammar both verbal and written required.
