1.Minimum three (3) years' banking experience or equivalent required
2.Minimum one (1) year experience in a leadership role required
3.Minimum two (2) years' customer service/sales experience required
4.High School Diploma or equivalent
5.Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
6.Valid driver's license and good driving record
Job Purpose and Scope:
Assists Branch Manager with operations and personnel at the branch office. Communicates the directives of the Branch Manager or Regional Manager to branch personnel. Assists Branch Manager with coordination of customer service and business development activities of the branch. Responsible for expanding the customer base through successful selling of bank products. Performs the job in a manner that will enhance the quality of service provided to our internal and external customers.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversees operations personnel, and coordinates customer service, consumer lending, and business development activities of the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager.
Counts cash and coins with accuracy.
Ensures customers are provided with exceptional service at all times.
Error and problem resolution.
Assists customers and prospective customers by opening new accounts and cross-selling additional bank services.
Engages in business development and customer relationship activities within the branch market.
Monitors the cash balances of all tellers and vault.
Monitors and oversees all teller procedures and transactions (balancing, bait money, what checks to cash, initials on transactions, etc.)
Functions as a teller as assigned or needed.
Approves checks/deposits up to the limit set by bank policy and the manager
Makes referrals to the Mortgage and Trust Division, Investment Professionals, Inc. and First Data, Inc.
Ensures branch facility is opened and closed according to proper procedures.
Monitors branch security issues in absence of manager.
Adheres to written bank policies and procedures as directed.
In the absence of the Branch Manager, responsible but not limited to, staff scheduling, time and attendance, continued training on Bank policies and procedures, etc.
Exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of essential job functions.
Monitors performance and assists in corrective action when necessary.
Have working knowledge of Word and Excel in order to compile reports for branch manager as requested.
Monitors branch key performance indicators(Banker's Insight)
Balances and conducts maintenance on ATM, where in use.
Travels on company business as needed. (to include training, acquisitions and fill-in for staff shortages)
Completes all required training and retraining.
Attends or participates in joint sales calls or when Branch Manager is unavailable.
Trains or assists at another branch as needed.
Understands the consumer lending process.
Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.
