Position Description

BASIC JOB FUNCTION: The AssistantBanquet Manager assist with hiring, training and directing the banquet staff in servicing all the banquet activities ensuring a successful function and repeat business.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Execution of Banquet Event Orders for business meetings and social events 2. Responsible for all aspects of logistics for each function dcor, entertainment, etc. and identifying vendors for each 3.

Supervise banquet department staff 4. Conduct pre-meal meetings with service staff to prepare them to meet the needs of the assigned functions 5. Ensure opening and closing side work is completed by the service staff on an ongoing and consistent basis 6.

Maintain a high energy, positive attitude and professional appearanceREQUIREMENTS: 1. HS Diploma or equivalent required2. Comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage operations; service standards; guest relations and etiquette3.

Two (2) years of banquet experience/customer service experience required4. Previous management experience preferred5. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include evening hours, weekends and holidays
