Assistant Banquet Manager

Job Description Job Description JOB TITLE : Assistant Banquet Manger DEPARTMENT : Food and Beverage REPORTS TO : Banquet Manager, Director of Catering, and F&B Director FLSA : Non-Exempt JOB SUMMARY : Entry level management position that leads the banquet staff while personally assisting in executing events based on requirements and standards. Develops and directs team to provide consistent, high-quality service.

Communicates performance expectations and trains staff in processes. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: · Supervising personnel, assigning tasks to kitchen or service workers · Ensuring kitchens and dining facilities are clean and properly decorated · Purchasing equipment, ordering supplies or food ingredients and coordinating service details · Maintaining inventory and compliance with food safety regulations and laws · Helping with training employees · Performing administrative functions and preparing employee work schedules. · Greetings and seats Members and guests. · Serves as liaison between administration, catering, banquet and kitchen staff. · Maintains a professional environment, including scheduling of cleaning of equipment and storage areas. · Promotes the pristine environment of the Club immediately addressing areas that require repair and maintenance. · All other duties as assigned. WORK ENVIRONMENT: · Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. · Push, pull or lift to 50 pounds. · Continuous repetitive motions. · Work in a hot, humid and noisy environment REQUIRED QUALIFICAITONS : · Minimum two years of Banquet serving experience. · Proven track record in successfully assisting all types of banquet functions and other special events. · The city of John Creek alcohol pouring permit required. · TIPS Alcohol Certification. - will supply application upon employment · Able to work with a sense of urgency without disrupting the atmosphere of the dining room. · Able to effectively communicate in a professional and friendly manner. · Able to learn quickly and multi-task. · Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the membership. · Safety minded, high quality service standards, diplomatic and calm. · Able to stand for long periods at a time.
