Assistant Athletic Trainer

The Assistant Athletic Trainer will support and assist the Head Athletic Trainer to provides prevention, care, and rehabilitation services for student-athlete athletic injuries in compliance with all National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and other national and conference policies and guidelines. The role provides medical coverage for athletic team practices and competitions based on season and sport assignment as designated by Head Athletic Trainer.

The Assistant Athletic Trainer collaborates with physicians and physical therapists for off-campus appointments, evaluation, diagnostic testing, rehabilitation, and medical clearance of athletic injuries. Additionally, this position aids in the management of comprehensive records of athletic injuries and treatments, formulate effective therapeutic treatment and rehabilitation plans and make referrals, and communicate regularly with coaching and administrative staff. The role will assist with insurance related inquiries and the submission of any needed documentation, while performing other job-related duties as assigned.

This is a full-time, exempt position that reports to the Head Athletic Trainer. The primary work location is the Chicago campus, with work also conducted at off-site home athletic facilities.
